A local crew, not a drive-in operation.
Daviess County Tree Co. was started by Wade Osborne, whose family has lived and worked in Daviess County for three generations — his grandfather farmed just outside Washington, and Wade grew up clearing storm-damaged timber on the family property long before he ever turned it into a business. After years working tree crews for outfits based out of Evansville and Bloomington — driving an hour or more each way to reach Washington-area jobs — he decided Daviess County homeowners deserved a crew that actually lived here, knew the county's roads and properties firsthand, and could show up the same week instead of getting squeezed in between bigger out-of-town jobs.
Today the company keeps it simple: tree removal, done safely and correctly, for homeowners throughout Washington and the small towns that surround it. Every job starts with a free, in-person assessment and a straightforward price before any chainsaw starts — no add-on fees sprung on you once the crew is already on-site. Washington and Daviess County saw firsthand what a bad storm can do when an EF2 tornado struck the area on November 17, 2013, damaging or destroying roughly 20 homes — and the crew treats every storm-damage call with that history in mind, not as an inconvenience to schedule around.

Our Why
We started this company because too many Daviess County homeowners were stuck choosing between a national tree-service franchise that treats every call the same, or an out-of-town crew that only shows up when their schedule has room. We wanted to build something different: a small, insured, local crew that actually lives here, prices honestly, and treats a routine backyard removal with the same care as an emergency storm call.
Our crew is based in Daviess County, not driving in from Evansville or Bloomington. That means faster scheduling and a crew that already knows the area.
Tree removal is dangerous work, especially near a house, fence, or power line. We don't cut corners on safety to save time, and we walk every property in person before recommending a plan.
You get a written estimate before any work starts. If a tree doesn't need to come down, we'll tell you that instead of talking you into an unnecessary job.
